Outdoor & Experiential Education
Why do you want to climb Mt.Everest? “Because it is there”
Now, over 70 odd years after the British Mountaineer George Mallory’s famous non-explanatory answer, we have a bewildering array of explanations and theories about educational value of Outdoor activities. But all agree on one fact that there is a definite social and moral development occurring through outdoor experiences, may it be climbing a mountain, rafting a roaring white river, trekking in a hot desert, climbing a towering rock face, paragliding in open blue skies, or scuba diving in deep oceans. The process that uses such kind of experiences for education is broadly termed as Outdoor Education.
So what is Outdoor Education?
Simon Priest, one of the leading authorities on outdoor education says, "Outdoor education is an experiential process of learning by doing, which takes place primarily through out-of-doors. In outdoor education, the emphasis for the subject of learning is placed on relationships, relationships concerning people and natural resources".
What is the objective?
The primary objective of our Corporate Outbound Program is to give the participants a diversified program. Our aim is providing all Participants with various opportunities to experience explore and participate in a positive outdoor environment.
This is achieved by introducing the participants to a wide array of outdoor activities, starting from Rock Climbing, Rappelling, River Crossing, Nature Walk and Team Games, etc. This is the “OUTDOOR EXPERIENTIAL” factor.
All these activities are basically part of an experiential process of learning by doing, which takes place primarily through out-of-doors, where the emphasis for the subject of learning is placed on relationships concerning themselves, people and natural resources.
Along with plenty of outdoor activities, the unique aspects of these programs are the creativity sessions, where participants will express their learning experience through a series of creativity workshops. This is the “LEARNING” factor.

Reviewing / Processing Session:
The review sessions also have a progression. The initial reviews are intended to encourage all the participants to actively share their feelings. They progressively become more interesting, the participants are encouraged to 'work with themselves'. It is possible to change the event design depending on what happens in the reviews, to make the programme more effective.
The main aims of these review sessions are:
1) To interpret the relevance of events and experiences and facilitating transfer of learning to life spaces.
2) Gaining insight into personal behavior and team dynamics.
3) Controlling the design so as to steer the course of events in a way that would maintain an apt balance between physical and mental aspects of the programme.
